We are dedicated to promoting a harmonious, diverse community. Our goal is to support families by offering consistent, convenient, affordable, and high-quality child care.

We believe kids learn best by playing and figuring things out for themselves. We therefor utilize a play-based, child-centered approach to educationBasically, we see play as the real work for kids. They naturally use what they already know to build new ideas while they’re playing. We get things started by creating a stimulating environment with age-appropriate materials and activities that make learning a fun and inspiring process. Our teachers then observe what the kids are doing, talk with them individually to check their thinking, work with them to clarify misunderstandings, and offer different ways to investigate things.

We are committed to providing an uplifting and positive atmosphere for our children and staff; a fun learning experience in a secure, safe, and loving environment.

A short history

How we started

Owner Julanda Meyer, an experienced educator with a long tenure in teaching diverse age groups, took over the management of the nursery school in 1996.

The facility had been successfully operating for more than 15 years at the time of acquisition. Originally situated near Brooklyn Mall, a strategic decision was made in 2000 to relocate to the current premises on Milner Street. This property was specifically chosen for its superior location directly across from Waterkloof Primary School. This pivotal move allowed for the expansion of services, resulting in the establishment of a well-positioned aftercare centre serving the primary school children in the afternoons.
